Daffodils.

Green fingers
Reaching up
To the sky
Encircling
Yellow spear.
Breaking through
The snow white
Covering
On the ground.

Like I said, I'm new to this. What do you call a poem with 3 syllables to a line?

  1. I'd say that there is some evidence of William Carlos Williams' influence, but beyond that, I don't think this has a name. Maybe you should invent one?

  3. It is always so when you put up your winter clothes (or tires) that you must have another cold snap. Three syllable lines we shall call pastamissus-literation.
